COVID-19’s Impact on Students Living Off-Campus

Like many other institutions, Temple University has ended face-to face instruction amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students living off-campus were encouraged to leave campus and return home for the remainder of the Spring Semester while students living in dorms and campus affiliated housing were given 10 days to move out (unless they applied for an extension). Many students have chosen to stay on campus and isolate in their homes.

The pandemic has reached a point where Pennsylvania has restricted many counties and Philadelphia has now ordered non-essential businesses to close. This places many, like Elly Cook out of work for a few weeks and stranding others like Victoria McIntrye away from family.
