Cross Country-Temple

While Temple was busy crushing Tulane at the Linc, 6 cross country members, 5 from the men, and 1 from the women’s competed at the Jack St. Claire Memorial Championship at Belmont Plateau. All five men who competed, finished in the top 25, led by strong performances by Junior Praneeth Gottipati, who led Temple with a third place finish, while running the 8k race with a time of 28:31. Freshman Darien Knudsen placed 11th with a time of 29:21.4, while redshirt Sophomore Jeffrey Craskey placed 18th with a time of 29:54.8. On the women’s side sophomore Louise Huuki ran the 6k race with a time of 27:01.8 to place 48th out of 136 competitors. Both the men’s and women’s teams in full will be back in action next Saturday (Oct. 17) at the Princeton Invitational.
