Philadelphia drivers are no strangers to traffic jams, but this week drivers will see road closures as a result of the Democratic National Convention.
Drivers will be forced to avoid Packer Ave, S. 11th Street, Terminal Ave, and parts of South Broad St during the four day convention in an effort to keep active traffic away from the Wells Fargo Center. North and Southbound entrance ramps to I-95 and I-76 will be closed between the hours of 2pm and 2am. These restrictions are to remain in place until Friday. You can find more information on closed roads here.
Those who park in the middle of South Broad Street will need to find an alternate parking spot. Driver will find themselves with a $51 dollar fine for illegally parking until Friday, July 29. You can find more information on parking restrictions here.
