Dodge for Success

On Friday October 7th from 6-8 PM in Gym 144 in Pearson-McGonigle there will be a dodge ball tournament.  Temple’s Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success will be hosting the tournament, which carries a $6 entry fee. The event gives students teams of 6-10 players each to blow off some steam with some healthy competition.  Several teams have already signed up, but more are encouraged to participate. Not only is this an event to show off one’s dodge ball prowess and have fun with some friends, it is an opportunity to connect with a growing organization.

Temple’s chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success is part of a great nationwide organization and is only growing on campus. Offering opportunities such as scholarships, networking events, workshops, and even a recommendation letter from the president of the society, Temple’s chapter hopes to tap into these resources by expanding their chapter and improving quality.  This fundraising tournament is one way the organization plans to do this. Alyssa Ghilardi, speaking on behalf of the organization, said the purpose of the tournament is to  “raise money to put back into our events to expand our on campus presence.”  She is also the contact for anybody wishing to sign up for the event.
