Hit & Run Survivor Rachel Hall Will Walk in ’16 Graduation

Hit & Run Survivor Rachel Hall will walk in 2016 graduation.

Almost a full year after a tragic hit-and-run accident which left 22-year old Rachel Hall in extremely critical condition at Temple University Hospital, Hall will walk in the graduation she missed last May.

The former Temple lacrosse player is expected to walk in the university graduation May 4, 5 and 6. On a Facebook page called “Rachel Hall Temple Strong,” her mother invited anyone who would like to attend to the Liberal Arts graduation ceremony at 4:30 at the Liacouras Center. No tickets are required.

She will graduate with two degrees, one in sociology and another in criminal justice. Hall’s mother walked in the Class of 2015 graduation in her place.

Hall has undergone intensive mental & physical therapy since the hit and run, the family has amassed $1.4 million in medical bills. Hall’s friends and family set up a link for those who would like to donate to Hall’s family. The online fundraiser has a $25,000 goal and has collected over $7,100 so far.

Hall hopes to be accepted into the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Academy after her official graduation and work with people affected by human trafficking.

The soon-to-be graduate was injured on April 29, 2015 by an 18-year-old Robert Roberts who was driving with only a learner’s permit. The charges filed against Roberts consist of leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury and driving without a license.
