With homecoming in full swing, students eagerly await the football game while attending other events on campus.

Though the Owlchella! concert had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the Main Campus Program Board has planned an exciting week full of enticing events.

Homecoming kicked off this week with a Walk for Hunger with Philabundance. On, October 5th students interested in sports and sports analysts attended a talk with Jalen Rose.

The Wellness Resource Center hosted a talk entitled “Let’s Talk About Sex Baby,” a chance for all of us to get ‘the talk’ from health care professionals. That occurred Wednesday from 8-9 p.m. in Room 200 at the Student Center.

Still to come is the homecoming pageant, while will be held in Room 200 at the Student Center on Thursday, October 8th from 8-10 p.m.

On Friday, October 9th, there will be the Homecoming Golf Cart Parade and pep rally on Liacouras Walk.

The last event of this year’s Homecoming will be the football game.  Temple will play Tulane University at Lincoln Financial Field. Tickets for the event can be picked up at the Liacouras Center Box Office (10 a.m.–5:30 p.m.) and at the Cherry On Pep Rally, Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Bell Tower.

Student tickets will also be available for pickup on game day at the South Gate entrance at the Linc.

The full list of Homecoming events can be found on MCPB’s Homecoming page.
