One-on-One Interview with Phillies’ Commentator Scott Franzke

At the Third Annual Temple Sports Journalism Summit, Temple Update’s Yale Alpert caught up with Phillies Play-by-Play Commentator, Scott Franzke.

In this interview, Franzke discusses how it is for him to talk to aspiring journalism professionals, his college experiences, and his favorite moments as the Phillies Radio Announcer.

Scott Franzke has been the radio commentator for the Philadelphia Phillies since 2007. He has worked alongside Hall of Famer Harry Kalas and has called games during every postseason for the Phillies between 2007 and 2011.

Franzke is a native of Dallas, Texas and an alumnus of Southern Methodist University with a degree in Journalism.

During all Phillies games in the season, fans can tune in to his broadcasts on Sportsradio WIP and Talk Radio 1210 WPHT. He is on innings 1-3 then 6-9.
