An owl of the highest regard, Joanne Epps inspired an entire community and leaves behind a legacy spanning more than 40 years, to a community that she called family. In an exclusive interview with Temple Update’s Brianna Fallon, Provost Gregory Mandell and Board of Trustees chairman Mitchell Morgan reflect on the profound impact and life of President Epps. 
Those wishing to attend President Epps viewing, funeral, and celebration of life may do so. Both the viewing and the celebration of life will be taking place at the Liacouras Center. 
There will be two viewings taking place on
Thursday September 28th, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm 
Friday September 29th, 2023, from 8:00 am – 10:00 am
President Epps celebration of life will be on Friday September 29th at 10:00 am. 
Interment will take place on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are invited to gather in the 15th Street parking lot at 10:30 am.
