Production for the latest Rocky series has been underway throughout the last couple weeks throughout the city, but today was Temple’s turn to become a backdrop for the franchise that gave Philadelphia its name.

This sequel, Creed, reportedly focuses on the boxing career of Apollo Creed’s grandson, trained by Rocky Balboa taking a different spin from the traditional Rocky Balboa fight plots.

A cast of extras and stars Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan made their way to the Temple Performing Arts Center Thursday afternoon along with what appeared to be cases of production equipment. Update cameras were rolling:

According to Philly Voice, the crews shot a fight scene at TPAC in which major character Adonis Johnson, played by Michael B. Jordan, fights the local light middleweight champion boxer Gabriel Rosado.
