Supporters and Protesters Gather at Constitution Center During President’s Philly Visit

Supporters and protestors of President Donald Trump gathered outside the National Constitution Center to make their voices heard, Tuesday.

President Trump sat with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos to answer questions asked by undecided voters at the televised Town Hall.

Those outside already made up their minds.

“This protest means a lot because there are a lot of like-minded people and they all feel the same as I do and we’re all tired of inaction and we’re all ready to really recognize that there has been so much injustice” Lupe Fernandez, a Drexel student at the protest said.

Oksana Sdenyk, a supporter of the President, says she will support him no matter what.

“We would like to show Trump that PA is still behind him. Even though Philadelphia is predominantly democratic” she said.

Traffic was slow in the city as roads shut down in preparation for the President and the crowds outside. SEPTA temporarily closed down the Market Frankford line’s 5th Street station.

Protesters later marched down Market Street and Broad Street.
