Students from around the school took part in the Taking Back Temple rally on Monday. The rally was organized via a Facebook invitation.

Security was significantly tightened for the event, with Temple University Police guarding the entrances of Anderson and Gladfelter Halls where a portion of the protest was held.

Several student organizations partnered with the event, and among them was The Student Coalition for the Reinstatement of Dr. Montiero, The Black Student Union, and The Asian Students Association.

According to the Facebook event page, the goals included discussing the university’s relationship with its students and the local community. Many students also came to show support for Dr. Anthony Montiero.
