PHILADELPHIA, PA — At Howarth Field on Sunday afternoon, the Temple Owl Field Hockey Team (4-8) finished off another victory against Holy Cross (5-5). Senior, Katie Foran scored a goal and an assist. Freshman Maddie Lilliock, made three huge saves.
Although taking six shots in the first half, the Owls did not score. However, in the second half, the Owls doubled the total shots and added one more, with a total of 13. This caused them to score two of those shots ultimately giving them their win! redshirt junior, Sarah Keer helped score one for the Owls from Katie Foran’s pass, and Rachael Mueller scored it in. Freshman, Becky Gerhart had two defensive saves. Gerhart and Maddie Lilliock are ranked nationally in saves per game and defensive saves.
Continuing the Big East games, the girls are set to go up against #14 Old Dominion on Friday, Oct 7 at 3 p.m. at the Howarth Field.
