Temple University is giving back to the community by donating over 300 backpacks to a local elementary school in the area.
Students at the North Philadelphia Paul L. Dunbar school will be gifted backpacks filled with school supplies along with handwritten notes by Temple students courtesy of Temple’s board of trustees.
Temple will also donate 50 calculators to the school over the next months.
Temple University President Richard M. Englert and Philadelphia Superintendent William R. Hite Jr. are also expected to make an appearance, along with Temple student athletes.
