Temple Wins Big Over Houston

Temple football came home this past weekend with a huge win over AAC rival, the University of Houston.

Temple bested Houston 59-49. The Owls are now 4-1 in AAC and are eligible to play in a bowl game at the end of the season.

Ryqeull Armstead had one of the best games in his college career. Armstead rushed for a total of 210 yards. Armstead is the first to set a record for rushing for four or more touchdowns this season and is the first Temple football player to do so. Armstead’s six rushing touchdowns are second in the Temple single-game list behind Montel Harris’ seven rushing touchdowns back in 2012 against Army.

Temple took the lead quickly and never lost it. The Owls return to Lincoln Financial Field this weekend for Senior Day and the last home game of the season. Temple is taking on USF.
