Tie for Temple’s Men’s Soccer

Four days after suffering their first defeat of the season, Temple’s Men’s Soccer Team tied up 0-0 against Delaware. Lack of goals was thanks to the defensive efforts made by both teams.  The Star player of the game was goalkeeper, Alex Cagle, who saved the net on six different occasions! He displayed great awareness, which contributed to his ball-stopping abilities.

In other news, three members of Temple’s Men’s Soccer Team were named to the Weekly Honor Roll due to their impressive performances throughout their two games last week. Both Belal Mohamed and Matt Mahoney scored their first goals of the season against La Salle and Cincinnati, respectively. Usual suspect, Jorge Gomez-Sanchez, was the third member of the team to be included in the honor roll due to his one goal, one assist week against Cincinnati. Each of the three players displayed what helped make the team an unbeatable force throughout the beginning of the season and what has helped lead them to this 7-1-2 record.
