For some students, coming to Temple University is a dream come true. But Temple University’s Television Station and PRowl, Temple’s student run public relations firm, are working to take one student’s wish a bit further.
PRowl’s Emily Charles, a junior working for PRowl’s Strategic Communications says she thinks it gives students a good opportunity to experience Temple in a different kind of way.
Paul Gluck, Manager of TUTV recalled some of the wishes that have came true in years past.
“One of them was a theater student who really wanted to portray Hooter the owl at a Temple Athletic event. Now we know Hooter is real but thanks to PRowl and Temple Athletics, and Hooter, they managed to find a Hooter outfit, and this student went with Hooter and learned how to be the best mascot you could possibly be.”
After hearing about the contest, Temple Update caught up with students on Liacouras Walk to ask what their wishes would be. Some students said they wanted to get a drink with a professor, while others had spending a weekend with the Temple squirrels in mind.
While some of these are perhaps not so likely to come true, PRowl will be announcing the winner of this year’s contest on their Twitter on Friday.
