PHILADELPHIA, PA – While the gymnastics regular season has officially come to a close. We are just days away from the 2023 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals, where two Temple University athletes will be competing. Juniors Brooke Donabedian and Renee Schugman were selected to represent the Owls. This comes after a pair of standout performances from both student-athletes in which Schugman ended the season with three consecutive meets with an average score of 9.908, and Donabedian successfully beat her own school record with a near-perfect score of 9.950.For Donabedian, this will be here second straight trip to NCAA regionals as she currently stands at forty second in the nation with a score of 9.915. While fellow teammate Schugman will join her in her regionals debut. She currently sits in the top seventy-five. The girls are hoping for big things in Pittsburgh from March 30th to April 1st as they have hopes to keep their post season going.The two lifetime gymnasts are clearly eager to compete and being able to do it together makes the trip itself all the more special. When asked about what it means to be competing alongside her teammate and friend, Schugman made it very clear how important this moment is for both. Saying “do to get to do it with one of my best friends, it’s going to be so much fun”.
