After a 20-11 record and a second round exit in the AAC tournament, Temple’s Women’s Basketball team has made their way into their second straight postseason appearance with a chance to play in the National Invitational Tournament. Their first game will be against in the city rival, Drexel, on Friday.

During the season, Alliya Butts lead the team in scoring and steals with 15.2 points per game and 76 steals during the season, Feyonda Fitzgerald lead the team in assists per game with 5.4, Tanaya Atkinson lead in field goal percentage with 46%, Erica Covile, in her last season, lead in rebounds with 7.2 per game, and Ugo Nwaigwe lead in blocks with 46.

This all goes to show that there was not one specific player making this team work, as all had their own contributions in their own ways to get to the record they have today. And although they may not have made the NCAA tournament this season, they certainly have been showing constant progression from season’s past to this season.
