K9 Chandler has been patrolling Temple’s campus for the past seven years, but his skills encompass much more than just patrolling. Chandler is an explosive trained dog and he and his handler, Temple Alum Officer Natalie Sherman, both attended bomb and patrol school together. They have been working together side by side keeping the Temple community safe.
Chandler has been at every event at the Liacouras center for the past seven years and his primary purpose there is to assist with security. There is a second K9 named Falko who’s about to graduate from patrol school with his handler, Officer Jesse Camponelli, in January. He’s set to start his career on campus in the spring semester.
