An “Egg-citing” Easter

With the Easter holiday taking place on Sunday, April 17, plenty of festivities took place over the weekend to celebrate the occasion.

Philadelphia hosted its annual South Street Easter Egg Hunt, but even more events took place outside of the city.

Shady Brook Farm, which is located in Yardley, just north of Philadelphia, held an Easter “Egg-stravaganza” throughout the holiday weekend, which offered many activities for families to enjoy.

Easter Egg hunts, hayrides, pictures with the Easter Bunny, playgrounds, and funnel cake were all available to guests who came to celebrate at Shady Brook.

The holiday weekend had perfect weather for such outdoor festivities, as well, with consistently sunny skies and cool temperatures.

Temple Update spoke with Shady Brook’s Vice President Paul Fleming about how such great weather can make the Easter holiday a big success for his business.

“It’s perfect. [The weather] does wonders for our business. When the weather’s nice we do great; When the weather’s bad, we do bad.”

The nice weather did indeed do wonders for Fleming’s business, as there was no shortage of families spending their day at Shady Brook and partaking in the different activities.
