COVID-19 Effecting Montgomery County Restaurants

With the rising number of coronavirus cases in the Montgomery County area, restaurants have been forced to switch to take out or delivery only. One restaurant that has been affected by this is From the Boot, an Italian restaurant in Blue Bell. The workers say that business has been down a significant amount since the shutdowns.

Ray, a worker at From the Boot, said “it’s affecting us a lot here because most of our business is in house and about 10% of our business is take out. So, we aren’t doing a lot with take out. We aren’t even doing half the business we usually do. It’s been very hard for us to stay open. We’ve been trying but it’s difficult.

Only 5 workers are able to come in per day since business has been so slow and because of the restrictions.

There is still no clear timeline for when businesses will begin to reopen or when restaurants will be allowed to have customers come and dine in.
