Field Hockey Completes Weekend with Two 4-0 Triumphs

Washington, D.C- Amber Youtz put up yet another hat trick (fourth on the season, eighth on career) and led the 16th ranked Owls (12-5, 3-1) to a 4-0 victory of the Georgetown Hoyas (5-10, 0-4). The Owls dominated the entire game, getting 27 shots on goal while the Hoyas only managed two shots overall.

The Owls only had a one goal lead going into halftime thanks to Youtz’s goal 24 minutes in. The Owls led a bombardment of goals in the second half. With two minutes in they scored three goals in five minutes. Youtz fired two into the back of the net to give her three on the afternoon. Katie Foran then directed one into the back of the net off of a deflection. Youtz now has scored a season high 24 goals and has 66 all time.

Philadelphia, P.A- Temple (13-5) triumphed over the Lafayette Leopards (6-10). Amber Youtz got the scoring started for the second consecutive game, netting a goal right before halftime. The goal gave her 25 overall, which leads Division I. Rachel Mueller and Erin VanHorn combined for the final three goals to conclude the Owls successful weekend.

Temple concludes the regular season on November 1st as they take on NCAA champion UConn who are currently ranked 5th in the nation.
