The Owls wrap up their regular season schedule on Saturday afternoon as they travel to inner city foe Villanova.

The Owls will look to build on the momentum that they bring into this matchup as they are currently on a three game winning streak, with over #12 Old Dominion, Georgetown, and Lafayette. Those three wins have boosted their season record to 6-12.

This game has a lot hanging on it as the Owls will look to clinch a berth in the upcoming Big East tournament. Defending national champion UCONN has already clinched the number one seed in the tournament, but the other three spots remain open.

Both Temple and Villanova come into this matchup with a 2-2 record in conference play and with a win the Owls will clinch a spot in the tournament and possibly be as high as the number two seed.

Coming off of a 3-0 week, senior goaltender Haley Mitchell earned Big East defensive player of the week honors. She made 10 saves in the Owls upset over #12 Old Dominion and let in just two goals in those three games.

As for Villanova, they come into this matchup with a record of 5-10 overall and 2-2 in conference play. They are coming off of a 2-1 win against Old Dominion last Friday.

The Wildcats are led by sophomore midfielder Francesca Bello who has recorded 10 goals and five assists so far this season.
