In the first of several mayoral debates that will take place this October, Republican candidate Melissa Murray Bailey and Democratic candidate Jim Kenney were joined by Independent candidates Jim Foster and Boris Kindij and Socialist Candidate Osborne Hart on Tuesday night to discuss what the future will look like once incumbent Mayor Michael Nutter’s eight year term comes to an end.
Mayoral hopefuls had a lot to say about how to tackle problems facing Philadelphia, including how to enhance early education and decrease disappointing unemployment rates. The candidates will once again take the stage for the Next Mayor 2015 debate series on October 19th at Temple Performing Arts Center.
