Meningitis Claims Life of a Drexel Student

After Meningitis claimed the life of Drexel student, Stephanie Ross, there have been concerns of the possible rise of meningitis in the Philadelphia area.

Temple University Health Services is taking precautions and has tips for students to stay healthy. The director of student and employee health services stressed the importance of staying healthy.

Symptoms of meningitis may include rash, neck pain and flu-like symptoms and can only be contracted if you are in close contact with another person. No further cases have been discovered yet on Drexel’s campus.
