#NextMayorPHL: Election Day Information

Next MayorToday is election day in Philadelphia, and after several months of debates and campaigns, voting is underway.

The mayoral candidates include Democrat Jim Kenney and Republican Melissa Murray Bailey, along with Independent candidates Boris Kindij and Jim Foster, and Socialist Osborne Hart.

In addition to the mayoral race, there are also 17 City Council seats and three vacant justice seats for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

To ease voting process, the Office of the Philadelphia City Commissioners developed a tool known as the VoterApp. Based on the address typed in the box, the VoterApp will determine the proper polling place, as well as a view of the sample ballot that will appear on the voting machine of the suggested location. The VoterApp can be accessed here.

Voting polls will close at 8 p.m.
