Walk through main campus and you may feel like your window shopping at a farmers market. The bell tower is home to a new project that was launched by Temple’s Office of Sustainability.
The PopUp Thrift Store is an effort to reuse goods ranging form kitchen wear, to towels, to clothing. The store provided students with a cheep and convenient way to recycle their old possessions.
“The goal is really to focus on reuse. Instead of sending this stuff to the landfill, we’re going to hopefully have students share and exchange.” said Director of the Office of Sustainability Kathy Grady.
