Pope Francis: “See you in Philadelphia!”

With all the excitement buzzing around the Pope’s visit this week, there has been little heard about the visit to the City of Brotherly Love by the Pontiff himself.

The World Meeting of Families rectified that Sunday morning, releasing a video message from Pope Francis to the people of Philadelphia and those who will travel miles to catch a glimpse of the Holy Father.

The video, which is just under 30 seconds, captures the Pope speaking in English about his excitement to meet the people of Philadelphia at the World Meeting of Families. During his visit, the Pope will deliver most of his speeches in his native Spanish.

The Pope will touch down at Philadelphia International Airport just before 10am on Saturday, and will be in the city until Sunday night.

At the end of the clip, the Pope proclaims, “I will be there because you will be there! See you in Philadelphia!”

With over a million people expected to flood the city, Pope Francis will get an extravagant welcome of his own.
