Montgomery County health officials announced Thursday that Temple University’s Ambler Campus will be home to a drive-through COVID-19 testing site.
The site is slated to open on Saturday, March 21, and will provide testing by appointment only to those who are showing extreme symptoms of COVID-19 or who are a part of a high-risk group.
Those who have a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit paired with respiratory symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath and any elderly person with a temperature above 99.6 degrees Fahrenheit will be allowed to schedule an appointment at the site.
First-responders and medical workers who may have come in contact with a person who has or had COVID-19 are also eligible to schedule an appointment at the site.
Drive-through tests will be conducted from 10am to 6pm every day while testing supplies last on patients in enclosed passenger vehicles like cars, minivans and trucks. Motorcycles, bikes and pedestrians are not allowed at the site.
An appointment registration link will be available at this website starting at 8pm on Friday, March 20.
