Temple Drops a Tough Conference OT Loss

Temple women’s soccer team took on the University of Southern Florida, in a double OT thriller. The Owls fell short losing 1-0. Their record now stands at 3-12 with a 0-5 conference record.

After two halves and one overtime, the Owls and USF went into double overtime where at the 103rd minute, the Bulls Grace Adams took a shot from 20 yards out that won the game for the USF.

During the first 90 minutes, the game went back and forth with no team gaining a significant edge. Temple was outshot 13-6 in regular time. Both goalies were forced to make three saves.

The game went into overtime, where the Bulls took all of the eight shots attempted in the OT period. Temple had three. corner kick opportunities to USFs two.

Jordan Nash added six saves to here conference leading total. She now has 86 saves on the year.

The game ended with USF taking 21 shots to Temple’s 7. Both teams picked up a yellow card. Temples KJ Waghorne in the 41st minute, and USFs Jordan Listro in the 48th minute.

The team will take on UCF at the Temple Sports Complex this Sunday October 16th at 1 o’clock p.m.
