Temple Made Fest Brings Together Temple Past and Present

With more than 300,000 alumni across the world, Temple Made Days is a weeklong celebration of these connections.

The campaign is on its fifth year, bringing together past and current temple students.
To celebrate, the second annual Temple Made Fest took place Saturday, where Temple business owners line Polett Walk, showing off their passions.
All of Temple college came together for this event, celebrating creativity and, of course, Temple pride.

Christine Brady is the Director of School and College Programs in Temple’s Alumni Office, and she says that Temple Made is an inspiration: “Temple Made…that you come to Temple, you become educated, you get your…slice of reality. It’s grit and determination,” she says.

Many business owners sported Cherry and White gear at the event.

Anna Palij is the owner of Peridot Pansies, and is a Klein alum. “I’m a two-times over Temple alum, came back ten years after I graduated in 2010. I’m really thrilled to be Temple Made and be able to show my wares, as they say, and show off Temple,” she remarks.

For some alum, Temple is a found home. After the closure of UArts in June 2024, some students came to Temple to complete their degrees. Lucas Woelk of Simple Skies Studio was one of these students. “Temple kind of gave me that extra chance to finish out my degree,” Woelk says, “and being back on campus is really cool.”

Current students say they feel connected to the vendors regardless of the gap in years.

“It’s really cool. It’s really inspiring to see people who have been in our shoes. They took the time, they spent their years here. And now they get to show us what we can possibly be in the future,” freshman Amber Beckworth reflects.

“I think it’s beautiful, like a lot of networking. You get to see how they ended up here,” freshman Benay Nwajei adds on.
