The Temple Owls volleyball team was looking for a bounce back after losing five of their last nine games. The last time the Owls won consecutive matches was on October 4th, after they were finally dismantled from their 4-0 American Athletic Conference start. Still, the team sits at 10-5 in the American Conference.

Their game Friday in McGonigle Hall ended their four game road trip, in which the Owls went 2-2.  The University of Central Florida proved to be an easier opponent in Orlando earlier this season, when the swept them in three sets. The outcome would be the same Friday in Philadelphia, as the Owls were able to get to 25 first in all three sets.

Sandra Sydlik dominated the assists, leading the game with 38. The next highest Owl had just one assist. Izzy Rapacz has 12 kills. Irem Asci had nine kills and three aces.

The Owls volleyball team has just five games left, four of which are at home, and all are with opponents they are familiar with, and already seen this season.

Temple, boasting a 19-8 overall record, plays again Sunday at 1 PM in McGonigle hall against USF.
