Temple University is “Taking Charge” with a new advertising campaign.
The thirty second spot aired regionally during the third quarter of Superbowl XLIX. Students were able to choose the ending of the commercial. After 7,000 votes, Stella the owl beat out the skyline ending.
Karen Clarke, Vice-President of Marketing and Communications says the exposure from the voting was even bigger than the University could’ve expected. Temple was featured on local news stations, such as NBC. Around 350,00 people saw the commercial before it ran.
Marketing will continue to promote the name and reputation of Temple University.
Students around campus were excited about the commercial in the big game.
