Earlier this afternoon, the Bowl Selection Committee announced that the #24 Temple Owls (10-3) will face off against the Toledo Rockets (9-2) in the Boca Raton Bowl in Boca Raton Florida. The game is scheduled for December 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Temple is coming off of a heartbreaking 24-13 loss to the Houston Cougars in the American Athletic Conference Championship, but the Owls are looking ahead to their big game in the Sunshine State. Temple finished the 2014-15 football season with a 6-6 record, making the team bowl eligible, but when the bowl games were announced, the Owls did not hear their name called. Coach Matt Rhule and players Kyle Friend, Tavon Young, P.J. Walker, and Will Hayes spoke at today’s press conference at Edberg-Olson Hall.
