The Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rinkk is back at Dilworth Park for a season of throwback vibes and roller skating fun.
The colorful rink is retro inspired bringing old school and art to the community
Senior Manager of retail marketing and events at center Giavana Surachi wants visitors to know that aside from a roller rink it’s a public art piece.
“ It’s right outside of historic city hall. And as soon as you walk up outside of Dilworth park, you immediately see our fantastic overall art installation. This year, it’s rows of rainbow streamers that create a fringe effects.”
The rink will be open till July 16, 2023 with sessions offered to the public Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 8:45 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Admission is $8 for children 10 and younger, and $10 for adults plus a roller skate rental fee of $6, but guests may bring their own skates and will just need to pay for admission.
The rink also provides Locker rentals for $10 once you have chosen a skating session and proceeded to checkout.
“Oh, this is fantastic. It’s great for the city. I mean, it promotes the right values, exercise fun. You know, it really brings people into the city.” says skater Tom Rinck
Moxie Kate, another resident and skater, is just happy that there are now exciting things to do in the city.
“I’m happy about it. I feel like this is like a super different place than it was when I was a kid. Like they didn’t have a lot of this stuff. And I’m really glad that there’s like, things to do.”
Aside from Skating, guests can relax by Air Grille garden offering a full menu of snacks and drinks for guests and adults 21 and older.
