TV Show “Shark Tank” Looks for Business-Savvy Owls

Shark Tank gives entrepreneurial Owls a chance at millions. Shark Tank will take pitches from Temple students on June 11.

The critically acclaimed TV show “Shark Tank” will pay Temple University a visit.

Temple’s Fox School of Business released the information in a press release May 25.

Entrepreneurial Temple Owls can pitch the team an idea on Saturday, June 11. Anyone with interest can sign up to meet the team from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that Saturday.

Shark Tank will return to ABC for it’s seventh season. The show circles six entrepreneurs who are self-made millionaires. Contestants are given the chance to pitch an idea to the group and if chosen, get back an investment into an idea, product or business.

Over the last six seasons, the group have given out over $66 million to budding entrepreneurs.

Temple’s Blackstone Launchpad and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute will host a coaching workshop for students to iron out their pitches before pitching their idea to the show. The workshop will be held on June 9 from 6-7:30 p.m.
