Dilworth Park brings winter fun right into the heart of Center City. Every year it transforms into a winter wonderland filled with ice skating, food, and shopping.
However, Winter at Dilworth Park comes with extra safety guidelines this year due to the pandemic. Each attraction has opened in phases, starting with the ice rink and wintergarden.
Dilworth Park’s ice rink has limited capacity and an online reservation system, so make sure to plan ahead. After ice skating, admire the seasonal plants at the Greenfield Lawn, which offers socially distanced seating or eat at the Rothman Orthopeadics Cabin, complete with an open-air layout for safety.
Scattered throughout Dilworth Park and across the street is the Made In Philadelphia Holiday Market. It is set to open November 21st and ends January 1st. The market features locally made gifts and foods for the upcoming holiday season.
Remember to wear a mask and socially distance. There will also be safety employees to enforce these rules around the plaza and distribute free masks.
Winter at Dilworth Park ends February 28th and is located on the West side of City Hall.
Pro tip: Temple University offers college nights at Dilworth Park, so college students can skate the night away every Thursday for two dollars.
