Jimmy Kimmel Live fans were taken by surprise when the late night show’s sidekick, Guillermo Rodriguez, made a pitstop in Philadelphia. Pat’s King of Steaks in South Philly was Guillermo’s fourth and final stop on his road trip across the country. His previous stops were Dallas, Atlanta, and Chicago.
Guillermo traveled via “Guillermobile” from Los Angeles to the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, where the show is broadcast from this week.
Guillermo was joined by the newly unveiled Philadelphia Flyers mascot, Gritty. The pair worked together in the kitchen preparing cheesesteaks for customers.
“After going down a list of places to eat, we landed on Pat’s. We walked up to the counter, and we were surprised to see that Guillermo from the Jimmy Kimmel show was serving,” said Lawrence Blackful, a Chicago native visiting Philadelphia for the first time.
