Longhorns Stun the Owls in OT

On Saturday the Men’s Basketball team hosted the Texas Longhorns at the Wells Fargo Center.

In the first half it was all Texas. the Longhorns led by as many as 16-points thanks in part to this first half slam by center Cameron Ridley. However this deficit did not hold back the trailing Owls.

After a Temple rally mid-way through the second half, Dalton Pepper brings the owls back within two with this three-point basket.

Three minutes to go, Pepper, assists a running Anthony Lee who throws one down to tie the game up at 70.

Now in the overtime period, temple up 80-78, Dalton Pepper misreads his foul shot and is called on a zone infraction dismissing the Owls chance to lengthen their lead to three points.

With 12 seconds to go, Texas’ Javon Felix runs down the court and chucks up a three-point prayer somehow swishing the shot giving the Longhorns the go-ahead win.

The Owls go on to lose the game in overtime 81-80.
