Temple Student Government Elections 2014

As the school year is coming to a close, some members of Temple Student Government (TSG), are gearing up in campaign efforts to become the next Executive Board of TSG for the 2014-2015 school year.

The elections will be held April 8th to the 9th, with the results being announced on the 10th. Both campaigns, TU Believe and Renew TU 2014 have made t-shirts, pins and wristbands as well as have visited several student organization meetings to discuss their platforms with the student body.

Both tickets have made their own respective websites with information on their platform and all three students running, which can be reached at renewtu2014.com and tubelieve.com.

The three positions up-for-grabs consist of Student Body President, a Vice President of External Affairs, and a Vice President of Services.

TU Believe is a ticket composed of juniors Ray Smeriglio, Julia Crusor and Blair Alston, while Renew TU 2014 is composed of Ife Ezeugwu, Meaghan Guerrera and Rachel Applewhite, all running for President, VP of External Affairs and VP of Services respectively.

“I suggest that everyone takes time to listen to the platforms,” said current student body President Darin Bartholomew. “I know they’re working very hard, and now that it’s a little bit nicer out, I think you’ll see them around campus until 10 or 11 at night campaigning.”
