Two More Temple Students Test Positive for COVID-19

Temple University spokesperson Ray Betzner confirmed Wednesday that two more students have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of infected students to three.

The two students recently traveled to Spain. One student didn’t come back to Main Campus after returning while the other had “extremely limited” access to campus.

The first Temple student to test positive also recently returned from Spain.

The University says all three students are at home and doing well. Temple officials as well as the Philadelphia Public Health Department have contacted anyone who may have come in close contact with them.

Betzner emphasized that, whether you have been in contact with an infected person or not, it’s important to still follow the guidelines given to us by health officials–isolate yourself, stay away from crowds, monitor your health, take your temperature daily and contact a doctor if you feel symptoms.
