According to a TU Alert, the object turned out to be a student’s electronics project, constructed of a tissue box and wires. It was reportedly left in a restroom.

Shortly before 2:30, students were evacuated from the library and the attached Tuttleman Learning Center. Along with a strong presence from Temple Police, the Philadelphia Police Department’s bomb squad was called in to investigate the package.

Within twenty minutes, authorities learned of the box’s true function, and let students back into the buidlings.

This is the second explosives scare on Temple’s Main Campus within two days, the other occurring Sunday evening at Conwell Inn, which turned out to be a non-functioning grenade used for a student’s film project.
