Dilworth Park Says Goodbye to Winter

The annual award-winning Dilworth Park’s Winter Festival is closing for the coming Spring.

From early November to late February guests were treated to all kinds of amenities such as the food, drinks, and an ice skating rink, all just in front of City Hall.

But with Spring now on the city’s mind, not everyone is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Jersey native and loyal Flyers fan Fred Schiesswohl didn’t want to trade in his ice skates for warm weather just yet.

“I haven’t had time on the ice. Where I live there are ponds and they haven’t even frozen properly. I’d still love to get some ice time,” Schiesswohl told Temple Update.

Despite some holdouts, Philly native Nicolette Miller had reasons to look forward to the warmer months. “Warm weather… outdoor beer gardens” are just some of the favorites Ms. Miller was looking forward to in the Spring.

She recommends the Northern Liberties area and open-air air taverns if you are looking for fun activities in the warmer months to comes.
